In memoriam
BILL & JUNE HARDER
Bill and June Harder were instrumental in the building and development of the Pioneer Posse grounds. They gave not only their time, but also man-power, machinery, and money to carve the present grounds from an open 14 acre piece of land.
Bill Harder was Pioneer Posse president for four years and on the board for ten years, after which he was named a lifetime director. He was head of the racing team for several years and coach of the Posse Quadrille team.
June Harder was president for seven years and on the board three more. She rode with the Quadrille team and later was its caller, and she enjoyed trail riding.
The Harder Memorial Horse Show began after Bill’s death, and following June’s death was dedicated in both their names. The grandstand is co-dedicated (with Carl Koch) to Bill, while the flag pole at the grounds is in memory of June.
Proceeds from the Harder Memorial Horse Show go to the fund for improvements at the Pioneer Posse Grounds.
